Challenges: Ad Art-The first of a series of this type. Find an ad and use a section of it or a layout from it in a scrapbook page. Links to some web sites that are doing this are at the bottom of the page.

Scrapbook layouts have many of the elements of a magazine ad: photography, titles, colors, and scripts. Using some principles for photo placement and color, take inspiration from patterns, title or keywords, theme, font styles, and element placement you can create beautiful layouts for your scrapbooks. The key is to really LOOK at the ad and find the pieces that INSPIRE you!
